Problem
We worked with a large suburban physiotherapist practice looking after their end-to-end bookkeeping and compliance requirements. Their turnover was significant, but with 13 people to care for, it was evident that the physio staff needed to produce more billable hours to cover wages, let alone overheads and other costs.
There were inefficiencies in the admin roles, and although business partners were well-known and sought-after physios, they didn’t understand the intricacies of running a business.
Solution
We set up regular meetings with the partners to review profit and loss and balance sheets. We educated them on billable hours, margins, and KPIs for staff. To get things running efficiently, we also revised the office systems and streamlined their administration procedures.
Outcome
As the partners became more aware of how to run their business efficiently, a second site was established, and both experienced steady growth and stability.
